Thank you for your support here. Thanks to Roxane Gay on Twitter last night (condolences to her on the loss of her brother), I’ve become aware of Medium’s rights grab through their latest contest, which in turn led to my learning about the change to their Terms of Service last year via Eugene Fischer. It now includes:

Unless otherwise agreed in writing, by submitting, posting, or displaying content on or through the Services, you grant Medium a nonexclusive, royalty-free, worldwide, fully paid, and sublicensable license to use, reproduce, modify, adapt, publish, translate, create derivative works from, distribute, publicly perform and display your content and any name, username or likeness provided in connection with your content in all media formats and distribution methods now known or later developed without compensation to you.

No thank you. I’ve given away far too for too many years, both written work and consulting because I didn’t value myself. I do now.

You can find all my pieces on my website: dianesherlock.com and along with submissions to lit journals, etc. (for pay!) that’s where I will be publishing my work from now on.

Once our internet is restored in a few days, I will be be back on Twitter and Instagram.

I hope you will consider supporting me on Patreon. I’m being considered for a PTSD study and can use the added support. Details to come on my site if it works out. My patrons got me through writing, BAGGAGE CLAIM, my trauma memoir, and I’m very grateful. There were days when knowing they believed in my work was the only thing that kept me going. That’s no small thing. All best to you and again, thank you for the comments and claps these past few years.
